Beware the MAGA loopholes! (Don't open them!)

Let's vote out the patriarchy, shall we?

It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book: the old bait and switch. Please do not be fooled by proposition titles that seemingly promise “good and righteous” legislation—the titles are wolves in sheep’s clothing. I want to thank Cobalt Advocates for helping me to understand these misleading legislative propositions and I am happy to share my new knowledge with other Colorado voters. I have included a Cheat Sheet at the end, for those who want an easy reference while voting. TELL YOUR VOTING FRIENDS!

TL;DR Voter Cheat Sheet

Indict Them All

Laws banning health care are killing people. We must hold those creating and enforcing these laws responsible.

Tuskegee Study v 2.0

Passing laws that restrict access to abortion EQUALS withholding necessary healthcare from people, the same as withholding penicillin from people with syphilis.

Not My Fourth

In these 250 years we should have learned a thing or two about protecting freedom and not revoking it, removing shackles of oppression and not locking them into place, and working toward a society that values all human lives instead of one that protects criminals with large bank accounts.

Unconscionable Practice

I have seen providers use their own religious beliefs to refuse placing an IUD for someone, or providing contraception generally, resulting in patients being subjected to forced pregnancy. Guess what? Their patients become my patients seeking abortion care.
